Electric cars take 32% of UK sales in October, the highest share of 2026
Battery electric registrations rose 32.7% to 48,858 as carmakers pushed towards the 33% ZEV mandate target. The year to date is 26.6%, and by our sums November and December would need about seven in ten new cars to be electric to close the gap.
