Quick answers

  • As of 6 October 2026, Toyota's bZ4X, bZ4X Touring and Urban Cruiser offers apply to orders placed from 1 October to 15 December 2026, registered by 31 March 2027, and include a £1,500 Toyota Electrified Saving. That is the maker's money, not the government's.
  • Toyota's bZ4X finance deal is 2.9% APR representative with a £5,750 deposit contribution on a 42-month PCP, so it is not a 0% deal.
  • Vauxhall's 0% APR offers apply to orders from 1 October to 15 December 2026, with the £1,500 Electric Car Grant included in the Corsa Electric's advertised £262.17 a month.
  • Check with the dealer whether a saving is the Electric Car Grant or a maker discount, what deposit the monthly figure assumes and what the total payable is.

As of 6 October 2026, Toyota and Vauxhall both have electric car offers for the final quarter of the year. The detail that matters is where the money comes from: on some cars it is the government’s Electric Car Grant, on others it is the maker’s own saving. Always check the dealer, because offers change.

What we could confirm

Toyota’s offers cover orders placed from 1 October to 15 December 2026, registered by 31 March 2027. Eligible orders of the bZ4X, bZ4X Touring or Urban Cruiser qualify for a £1,500 Toyota Electrified Saving. The bZ4X finance deal is 2.9% APR representative with a £5,750 deposit contribution on a 42-month PCP (Toyota UK). To see how the Urban Cruiser compares with its Suzuki twin on price, read our Suzuki e Vitara vs Toyota Urban Cruiser report.

Vauxhall’s 0% APR offers cover orders from 1 October to 15 December 2026. The Corsa Electric is advertised from £262.17 a month at 0% APR representative, with the £1,500 Electric Car Grant included (Vauxhall).

What we could not confirm

We could not corroborate the earlier Toyota C-HR+ 0% APR figure, which our searches tied to earlier offer periods that have ended. We also could not confirm a current Citroën ë-C3 price or monthly payment, nor any October grant-matching or discount offers from Kia, Hyundai, Renault, BYD, MG or Leapmotor. We have left them out rather than guess. Check each dealer.

Grant money or maker money?

The Electric Car Grant takes £3,750 or £1,500 off eligible new cars with a list price of £37,000 or less. It is the government’s money. Our guide to the latest eligible models tracks the current list. A maker saving such as Toyota’s Electrified Saving is paid by the carmaker and can change or end at short notice. Some brands run their own schemes, covered in our look at Chinese EV makers’ own grant-style discounts.

Why discounts are rising now

September was the best month on record for battery electric registrations, with 99,199 cars. Carmakers also have a year-end target to hit, which our report on the ZEV mandate gap explains.

What this means for you

Before you sign, ask the dealer three things. First, is the £1,500 the government grant, a maker saving or both? Second, what deposit does the monthly figure assume? Third, what is the total amount payable at the end of the term? A 0% deal with a large deposit can cost more upfront than a higher-rate deal with none.

How we test and where our numbers come from

Range figures are official WLTP combined values taken from manufacturer UK specification pages, with real-world estimates drawn from independent comparative testing. Prices are UK list prices at the time of the latest update. Tax, grant and charging-scheme figures come from GOV.UK and HMRC publications. We re-check every guide when pricing, specification or policy changes. Last checked 6 October 2026.
