Skoda Peaq UK prices from £51,980 for seven seats, 390 miles
Skoda's largest electric SUV starts £13,015 below the Hyundai Ioniq 9 and £14,665 below the Kia EV9. We compare price per seat, range and charging, and set out what the three trims cost.
Quick answers
- The Skoda Peaq costs from £51,980 on the road in SE L trim and rises to £60,380 for the all-wheel-drive SportLine 90x, across three trims and five versions.
- Every Peaq has seven seats and an 86kWh (net) battery, with up to 390 miles of WLTP range quoted for the line-up.
- At £51,980 the SE L works out at about £7,426 per seat, against about £9,285 for the Hyundai Ioniq 9 and £9,521 for the Kia EV9.
- DC charging peaks at 199kW, with 10 to 80% taking about 28 minutes.
- Every Peaq costs more than the £42,000 upper limit of the Electric Car Grant, so none qualifies and the prices above are not reduced by it.
The Skoda Peaq, the Czech brand’s first seven-seat electric SUV, is priced from £51,980 on the road in the UK, with up to 390 miles of WLTP range (WhichEV). That undercuts the Hyundai Ioniq 9 by £13,015 and the Kia EV9 by £14,665, which matters to UK families who want three rows without a £65,000 price tag.
What does each Skoda Peaq trim cost?
There are three trims, and the Edition and SportLine can be had with all-wheel drive (The EV Report). All use an 86kWh (net) battery, with rear-wheel drive on the 90 and all-wheel drive on the 90x. The SE L is rear-wheel drive only.
| Version | Price on the road | Drive |
|---|---|---|
| SE L 90 | £51,980 | Rear-wheel drive |
| Edition 90 | £55,130 | Rear-wheel drive |
| Edition 90x | £57,230 | All-wheel drive |
| SportLine 90 | £58,280 | Rear-wheel drive |
| SportLine 90x | £60,380 | All-wheel drive |
No Peaq qualifies for the Electric Car Grant: the £3,750 Band 1 grant applies up to £37,000 and the £1,500 Band 2 grant up to £42,000, and the cheapest Peaq is £51,980. Our guide to who qualifies explains the rules.
How far will it go and how fast does it charge?
Skoda claims up to 390 miles on the WLTP combined cycle. We could not confirm which version achieves it, and one database lists 373 miles for the all-wheel-drive 90x, so treat 390 as the best case. DC charging peaks at 199kW, taking the battery from 10 to 80% in about 28 minutes (The EV Report). The all-wheel-drive 90x reaches 62mph in 6.8 seconds.
Boot space is up to 2,075 litres with the rear rows folded, plus a 37-litre front boot for charging cables.
How does the Peaq compare with the Kia EV9 and Hyundai Ioniq 9?
The Peaq’s strongest card is price per seat. The table divides each car’s cheapest UK price by seven.
| Car | Starting price | WLTP range | Price per seat |
|---|---|---|---|
| Skoda Peaq SE L | £51,980 | Up to 390 miles | About £7,426 |
| Hyundai Ioniq 9 Premium | £64,995 | 385 miles | About £9,285 |
| Kia EV9 Air | £66,645 | 349 miles | About £9,521 |

On paper the Peaq matches the Ioniq 9 for range with a much smaller battery, and beats the EV9 Air. Both rivals are larger, more expensive cars, and we have not driven any of them against the Peaq, so third-row space remains an open question. For wider context see our seven-seat electric car ranking and the Ioniq 9 first drive.
Why the price gap matters
The gap is big enough to change who considers a large electric SUV. At £51,980 the SE L is £13,015 under the Ioniq 9 and £14,665 under the EV9 Air, a large gap for a family car. Even the dearest Peaq, the SportLine 90x at £60,380, costs £4,615 less than the cheapest Ioniq 9.
The rivals still have strengths we cannot yet weigh against the Peaq, notably their established UK dealer networks and used-market track records. The Peaq has neither, so resale values are unknown.
When can you buy one?
UK order books were reported to open in September 2026 (The Car Expert). We have not found a confirmed UK delivery date, so treat any early arrival as unproven until a retailer puts it in writing.
What this means for you
If you need seven seats and have a budget near £52,000, the Peaq SE L is now the cheapest purpose-built seven-seat electric SUV in the three cars we compared, by a clear margin. Step up to the Edition only if you want the extra equipment, since each trim rung adds £3,150, or all-wheel drive, which adds £2,100 on the Edition and £2,100 on the SportLine.
Before ordering, check third-row legroom with your own family in the car, ask for a written delivery date, and get finance quotes for the Peaq and the Ioniq 9 side by side, since monthly payments will tell you more than the list-price gap. If you rarely use rows two and three together, a cheaper five-seat car may serve you better; our cheapest new EVs list has options.
How we test and where our numbers come from
Range figures are official WLTP combined values taken from manufacturer UK specification pages, with real-world estimates drawn from independent comparative testing. Prices are UK list prices at the time of the latest update. Tax, grant and charging-scheme figures come from GOV.UK and HMRC publications. We re-check every guide when pricing, specification or policy changes. Last checked 6 October 2026.
