The Kia EV2 costs from £24,245 on the road in the UK for the 61.0kWh Air, once the £3,750 Electric Car Grant saving is applied to its £27,995 list price. Kia launched the car with a reservation saving intended to mirror the grant, and the Long Range trims were later confirmed for the maximum Band 1 grant. First customer deliveries are scheduled for later in 2026. For UK drivers it is a compact electric SUV priced squarely against the Hyundai Ioniq 3 and Volkswagen ID. Polo. What are the Kia EV2 UK prices?
Kia launched the EV2 with a reservation saving intended to mirror the government Electric Car Grant if eligibility was approved. Reports in July 2026 confirmed approval, so the saving now follows the grant bands: £3,750 on the 61.0kWh trims and £1,500 on the First Edition. We could not open the official GOV.UK list, so grant status here rests on Kia and trade reports.

Which trims get the Electric Car Grant?
The Air, GT-Line and GT-Line S with the 61.0kWh Long Range battery qualify for the maximum Band 1 grant of £3,750. The 42.2kWh First Edition qualifies for the smaller Band 2 discount of £1,500. Our list of grant-eligible models tracks which cars qualify, and the grant explainer covers the bands.
Which battery should you choose?
The 61.0kWh pack is the better buy. Kia announced up to 281 miles WLTP pending certification, and Kia UK listings now give up to 275 miles for the 61.0kWh models against up to 190 miles for the 42.2kWh First Edition (EV Fleet World). Range varies with trim and wheel size. The Air with the big battery is also £2,750 cheaper after savings than the small-battery First Edition, which is a rare case where more range costs less.
